I have used Firefox for years, but is it time for a change? Is Google’s chrome better? If so, why? …and is it me or does the logo/icon look like the 80’s electronic game “Simon”?

I’ve also used Firefox for years, but I did try out Chrome for a few months and must say that it has some great features and it is very fast. I would have to say that if you are big on surfing the web, Chrome is the way to go.
Give it a try for a while and see how you feel.

I gave a Chrome a half hearted try and wasn’t that impressed. I’ll stick with Firefox.
Give Chrome the week-or-two try. I have done that with about all major browsers and now use Chrome for everything.
However, there is no best browser, like there is no best Bronx pizza. Different software design styles work differently with each user having certain preferences and expectations. The only way to determine if it is “best” is to give it a try.
I’d stick with firefox since with chrome I pretty much had to run a virus scan everytime I used it.
I happily dropped Firefox when Chrome came out because I was sick and tired of all the plugins and extensions on the tool bar. It would ask me to plug in yahoo messenger, yahoo this and that every day. The tool bar was getting so big it crowded the active pane.
I wouldn’t use a tv made by a advertising company and I don’t want to use a browser made by one either. And tabs on top hurts my brain.
And I effing love Firebug.
@zenvelo :: I have had the same profile in Fifefox for 5+ years. Still clean.
Chrome is scum
A cool firefox distro is SeaMonkey
I am not going to use a browser made by a dedicated data collection company.
I much prefer Firefox, mostly because I enjoy the various options for extensions. But then again, I’m a sucker for open-source software.

All browsers that I know of except for Internet Explorer are open source or are mostly built on open source software.
depends on the OS system you have. With Windows or Mac, I’d use Chrome. If I had a free OS software like Linux or Ubuntu, I’d use Firefox. Chrome has great features and if highly compatible, and easy to use when on the 2 OS’s I mentioned for it.
Firefox is best for a free OS because there are many loopholes and awesome add-ons you can do to personalize your Firefox for whatever you need for. You can download free software through Firefox that is just as good as the stuff you buy in stores. However, the good things of Firefox don’t work too well with Windows or Mac.
With Chrome and Firefox around, Internet Explorer is pretty much obsolete, but still usable.
