Can you think of other city-related verbs?

like “shanghaied” (which is actually spelled correctly there).

just wondering…

It’s an adjective not a verb but there is the expression “in a New York minute.”

And then, of course, there is, I’ve been LA’d. :-)

Well, there are a lot of towns named Portage, but in that case I think they were named for the action.

Because it’s fairly close to a tectonic subduction zone, someday there might be an earthquake strong enough to Bend Oregon. ;-)
