Gigi. (pronounced jeejee) Both my parents called me that. Some friends sometimes use this on me, which makes me feel bizarre, because it used to be a parent only thing haha.
My grandfather called me George when I was two days old. My teenage friends called me Corky. One of the guys on the basketball team nicknamed me that after Corky Calhoun, who played proball at the time.
I don’t remember any family nicknames, but….in 2nd grade a friends brother and his friends used to call she and I ” Diaper & Wobble”....I was Wobble because I was a little chubby when I was small. Both my friend and I HATED being called those names.
Heh…joke was on all those boys when we turned into teenage sex symbols at about 15!
Oh yeah, they regreted those days and knew, all they could do was drool. lolol
Archie. Some old friends still call me that, as do my sisters.
Weed (from Bill and Ben). My dad often called me ‘little weed’.
My brother called me Dubs and still does at times. I was called Sassy for a while, but that died out in high school.
@Bellatrix
LOL..Little Weed, sounds like a north american indian name.
My indian name would be “she came to talk” hahahaha
I’d be Funky Pheasant, just because I think that’s awesome.
And ’‘Little Weed’’ is totally cute. :D
@Symbeline; that’s what my grandkids call me NOW, only with the “G” sound.
When I was younger some people only knew me as Goofy or Goof.
At home: Chuckie
At school: Chuck the duck
“Pumpkin Brows”. My brothers used to make fun of my eyebrows, so they called me Pumpkin Brows, as an allusion to the brows on a Halloween pumpkin! Sigh.
@MRSHINYSHOES
LOl…you and @AstroChuck should have been in the same school together.
” Oh oh, LOOK, here comes Chuck the Duck & Pumpkin Brows!”
@Coloma Lol-lol. We would have been teased like mad. It didn’t help that I have a naturally “golden tanned” complexion——like an orangey pumpkin!! :(
I’m going to brave it, and tell you guys my nickname… It was… Bug bug.
@MRSHINYSHOES I HATE IT.
I was also Bugaboo.
Bubagump Factory.
Ash-Leigh Bash-Leigh Small and Sash-Leigh.
My grandfather (who was German) called me “Rotschopf”, which means “redhead”.
@jsc3791 oh, that brings up another one. My grandmother called me pompushki, because my cheeks reminded her of dough. (It basically means little doughnut.)
@AshLeigh Well, look at this way——at least they didn’t call you “Bugger”. Like “You little bugger!” :)
@Coloma I didn’t like it because I was really chubby at the time too. From aged 6 to 11, I had a double chin and a big pot belly. When I was in my teens, I shed the pounds, took up swimming and weights, and changed myself radically, to the point where none of my old classmates recognized me anymore. Like night and day. All of a sudden, I didn’t get teased anymore. Only compliments about my physique and such. It was like “Omg, I can’t believe it.”
I still have a bit of pumpkin brows, however. And the tan is still with me. erg. Lol.
My nickname was and still is Annie.
My little brother (8 yrs younger) called me Peboo. I did not have a nickname outside the family until I was i college.
Funniest childhood nickname I know of: a friend and her brother were told one day their mom was expecting a baby. Later that night they overheard their parents talking, and the mom said “after this baby, let’s call it quits”. When the baby was born and mother and child came home, the kids said “where’s quits? where’s quits?”.
The poor girl was called Quitsie well into her twenties.
Mackey, Buck, Bucky, Mack, Mackaroni, Big Mack, Asshole, Fascist, Freak, Mack Daddy, Mack D, Smackey, Jerk, McMackin, Wesker (yes, as in Albert Wesker from Resident Evil), Mackenstein, Smackey Mackey, Mackin, Smackin, Ick, Voorhees, Water Ninja, and every other word that you can stick Mack/Mc into.
@King_Pariah My favorite is Bucky, because it rhymes. Lol. ;)
Rat. I used to play soccer alot and I get passed everyone like a rat. Sigh…. Good old days!
My brothers and sisters called me Donkey. Never figured out why.
