What job title does this embody?
I am looking to get into journalism and reporting from a vision perspective – perhaps growth, collecting writers, outlook and story ideas…things like that. What sort of job title and I looking for here?

You are looking to be an editor. Sounds like you want to be a Creative Editor or maybe an Innovation Editor. Something in Content Creation.
I’m not sure why you are asking, though. If you’re looking for a job, you need to get hired in a more mainstream job. You can say what your long term interest is in an interview, but you need to learn the ropes first. You may have to be a staff writer, or a copy editor first.
I’m a little confused too. What exactly do you mean by “a vision perspective – perhaps growth” and what exactly to you mean by “collecting” and when you say “collecting writers, outlook and story ideas?”
It definitely sounds like you want to be in an editorial position, particularly maybe in a magazine. I found the magazine “editorial” position was the place where ideas were made for each magazine, etc. Then, the actual writing is left to commissioned writers, interns, etc. Why not try for editorial work at The “L” Magazine, New York Magazine or Time Out New York.
Another possibiliy is the “creative media” or “features” or “lifestyle” departments of a newspaper.
Journalism, writing, creative writing possibly. Sounds great that you are interested in such a popular subject to do.
Editorial would be another one
I have a story you can reveal, and you could be an investigative writer. :)
