How long after a child is born are pro-life help services involved with its life?

I was remembering an encounter I had with a protester outside a Planned Parenthood whilst out once. He said that these agencies were involved for as long as they were needed, for whatever they were needed (implying forever). Is that true? How long are these agencies really involved with a mother and the child they persuaded her not to abort? All the sources I have found seem to be biased, so I don’t know. (but honestly, it’s hard for me to believe that they would be involved at all).
