Which Titan would you be?

Asked by King_Pariah (11484points) September 24th, 2011

After seeing a couple of my friends take the what Greek/Roman god would you be quiz, I was wondering, which Titan would you be?

I’d say Kronos, but I’m not THAT egotistical… so I went with the one in my profile pic. (bonus lurve to the first one to get it) :P

Χαος Χαεος. Khaos. Only one I could be. :-)

Ulysses. True, he was not a Titan in the traditional sense, but his Maternal Grandfather was Hermes.

I am picking from Norse Gods:

Idun – Guardian of the golden apples of youth and wife of Bragi who is The Norse God of poetry and eloquence

your chains give you away Prometheus

blueiiznh's avatar

ooops go my names switched around Bragi…

SavoirFaire's avatar

I was unaware that Norse gods were also Greek Titans.

King_Pariah's avatar

Yeah… But he got my pic right so he got the extra purge anyway.

By definition Titans refers to Greek and not Roman. Seeing roman was listed, I added Norse.
So sorry, feel free to flag it as off-topic along with the rest of the answers here that don’t fit.

That’s not how I read it. But as @King_Pariah has given his blessing to your answer, I withdraw my sarcasm.

Uh I never asked what Greek/Roman Titan would you be, the Greek/Roman thing was in regard to seeing friends of mine do what Greek/Roman God would you be which inspired simply which Titan would you be. I never said anything about Roman Titans. Read the details a bit more carefully amigo.

I did misread it between the greek/roman god thing and what your question was.
i bow humbly to you.

Antaeus. One of the greatest Titans ever.

Whichever of em smashed the most shit up lol.

I also named my washing machine ’‘Hyperion’’, from a Xena episode involving that guy. It’s so fucking loud and violent.

King_Pariah's avatar

@Symbeline I’m guessing Typhon then?

Berserker's avatar

I denno much bout Greek myth ecxept for Xena and three headed dogs. Was Typhon a Titan and not just a natural disaster? Cuz if so, I wanna be that guy, if he was all violent anshit. :D

King_Pariah's avatar

Typhon was more like a half titan. Same mother, different dad. Anyway, he’s the one who put the hurt on Zeus (as in he ripped out Zeus’s sinews).

Berserker's avatar

Sweet. :)

But I got a question, something that was never clarified to me much. It hasn’t much to do with Titans, but it’s Greek myth.

Hades. Was Hades the name of the god of death, or was that the name of where the dead went? It’s always confused me.

King_Pariah's avatar

Both I believe. More like god of the dead rather than god of death.

Berserker's avatar

So it was one whole thing, and not separate of being and realm? Am I getting this right?

King_Pariah's avatar

The realm was originally called simply the underworld, but it, for some reason was called Hades as well. Hades god of the dead and riches ruled over his underworld domain also known as Hades. Must have been a Narcissist. And the god/embodiment of death was Thanatos.

Berserker's avatar

Holy shit. I remember a video game called Secret of Mana I played years ago, where the main villain was named Thanatos. What more can you tell me of this Thanatos?

lillycoyote's avatar

@Symbeline The Titans and the Olympians, the Gods of Greece, kind of put the “dysfunctional” in “dysfunctional family.” Here’s the scoop on what happened with Hades
