If you were given the opportunity to make one movie, what would it be?
You have the funding and are allowed full creative liberty. What sort of movie would you make? Would you tell the story of your own life? Would you make a horror flick? Comedy? What would the plot be?

I’d love to make a classic zombie movie a la Romero. Nothing new, nothing revolutionary, just a shitload of zombies, gore, and metaphors about how people suck. I’d do my best to set up a good creepy sense of hopelessness to the movie, too.
I’d also love to make a cheesy slasher flick in the tradition of the eighties slasher, but fill the movie with Industrial tracks. But I’d use a woman as my killer, wearing a mask of some sort, but totally showing some leg, otherwise. That would be epic.
A movie about hobbits and a wizard named Gandalf…
Oh wait, that was already made.
9½ Weeks meets Symbeline.
If I ever write a book or movie it will be about what it is really like to have an autistic child.
Hmmm I’d make a really good movie adaptation of a book I love and try my best to stay true to the story line and not mess it up.
I would love to make a movie about the struggles of the 5 great silent comedians. Keaton, Chaplin, Lloyd, Langdon, and Arbuckle. So many tragedies.
I’d make Stephenson’s Anathem into a movie.
@kaywizard I just watched Sahara again.. based on the book I had just read by Clive Cussler. Needless to say, the movie was a disappointment. I’d love to see a movie that more closely matches the book that inspired it!
Sci Fi Thiller. I even have the film treatment already written.
If I had the funding, time and proper assistance – I’d love to make a movie from all the old 8’s and VHS tapes I have of the kids. I wish I could edit them all together for posterity purposes. Just for me and them. I don’t cae if nobody else ever sees it.
@digitalimpression that’s exactly how I feel when I read a book and then learn their is/ there’s going to be a movie based on it. I keep hoping they’ll get it right and they rarely do.
A Sci to film focusing on the message of sometimes you must sacrifice a few to save the many, but sometimes you must save a few to save the whole.
I’d make a “sci-fi” movie about an invasion of a multitude of me’s (Mr.Shiny Shoes), reminiscent of “The Creature From the Black Lagoon”, or those 1950s alien invasion movies. Millions of “Mr. Shiny Shoes” invade the earth and try to dominate the world, while its human inhabitants do battle with them with their bare hands, using whatever they can to fight them off. It’s a violent movie, not for the faint-hearted, and certainly not for anyone under the age of 18. It’s slightly comedic, but mostly dark and violent.
I would redo the 2009 Star Trek Movie. It would be a TNG movie, and bring Data back to life and involve a final confrontation with Q.
Symbeline the Zombie Slayer
A riotous comedy whose central theme revolves around farting & sexual innuendo, a classic in the making.
A re-make of 9½ weeks. Starring me!!
“The Way” —The rise and fall of a town and country bumpkin who wins the lottery and changes the lives of those around him, and the whole world, in a profound way, by being very charitable through his funding foundation only to be stalked and nearly killed throughout the film by the actions of an assassin that develops a personal conscience for him.

Wryter’s Note: Gee, I hope I spelled things correctly. Oh and that I placed a comma where I should have. Oh, well. Yep.
