I haven't been around much, but, coming in the last few days, I'm finding it awfully quiet here. Are we going through a bit of a lull?

I know the Jews here might be busy cooking and ceaning.
Happy New Year guys.
There was an awkward moment at the last nekked pancake party.
Link or it never happened.
College on the west coast just started up this week. First day was Monday.
Yea I don’t know what it is but I havn’t felt the urge to visit the site in forever. I used to be addicted. Nowadays nothing is really going on. Or maybe I’m uber busy.
Jellie’s answer to the kiss question livened up the joint a bit. I think it’s a transitional time of year.
What @johnpowell said. Just started classes yesterday.
I don’t know if there’s a “lull”, though, I mean we still have plenty of theist vs. atheist arguments going on, if you want to join those!
Clearly, your absence was the cause of the lull.
@worriedguy That was part of it. I also heard there was a disruption in the supply of brie.
That’s a frightening thought! Please don’t scare me like that.
This was the question of the day.
Ya, things are slow.
@filmfann Hmmpphh! But I see what you are saying.
@janbb it’s probably just jealosy from your question getting it, and not my stamps question.
If it was so quiet, why are my “just for you” queue and my activity queue growing so quickly?
Because you are following many jellies, and have a lot of topics?
@zensky I don’t think that would explain it since presumably our OP is following the same number of jellies and topics as she was before. I know I am, and as I said, my queue is growing, not shrinking.
Your numbers are not similar at all. In fact, now that I’ve looked at them – I am convinced it’s all about the topics. You can be following three times as many jellies (as she is) but if they aren’t asking any questions – your inbox will be quiet (as it is, the inbox changes every minute as questions for you disappear as soon as a Q gets a few answers).
However, if you have a lot of topics (you have about 5 times as many as the OP) you might get 5 times as many questions – again – depending on the topics. I figure sex and the internet and meta are way up there. Perhaps you have a few topic names that she doesn’t that get the most questions statistically?
@zensky That could explain it. It might also explain her perception. So things could be both getting quieter for her and getting more active for others.
I always find Saturdays, especially Saturday evenings, to be much more quiet than other days here on Fluther. People are out partying/socializing, so I guess that’s why. But I’m married and have a family, so I’m usually home, even on Saturday nights. Lol.
I notice the chat rooms are almost always empty, or have only a few people in them.
