Does your business use time management software for keeping track of hours employees spend on projects? If you do, which package would you recommend?
I’m looking for packages for small to medium size businesses rather than an enterprise solution.

I like Harvest, and it sounds like it fits the bill for what you’re looking for.
The invoicing design options are limited right now, so you may not be able to use that portion, but the time tracking and management sections are easy to use and effective. The reporting features have improved a lot in the last 6 months or so as well.
We use Visual Manufacturing. I would recommend against it because it eats up memory, is slow, and very expensive. I think that Quickbooks has a time function as an accessory but it has been very many years since I last researched the subject.
I use a program called RescueTime. It is designed for individual use but can be used by organisers to track projects. I don’t use it that way. I use it to keep track on my own productivity and make sure I am not spending too long focusing on one task. A bit OCD in truth but it does help me not to procrastinate.
