Have you ever discarded, thrown or dumped something or someone that literally or figuratively boomeranged, surprising you?
A friend told me once that in the 1980’s, he and his girlfriend picked up an egg-shaped rock from a beach and had their initials carved on it. When they broke up he tossed the rock along the side of the road near his house.
Twenty years later, he was building a pond in his backyard when the young child of a friendly neighbor came over and playfully brought something to add to his pond decoration. It was the egg-shaped rock with initials intact.

Nope
Bad luck tends to boomerang on me though.
If I didn’t have bad luck I wouldn’t have any at all.
I threw some shit into the fan several times in my life…boomerang big time.
I don’t have an answer, but I liked your details. That’s almost freaky, but kinda cool at the same time. Kinda reminds me of Stephen King’s The Monkey lol.
Don’t know if my story applies 100 percent, but it’s along the same lines. My family and I regularly donate our used clothing items, shoes, toys, etc. to a local charity. One day I was shopping with my wife at Wal-Mart, and in the parking lot I spotted a homeless-looking guy wearing one of my old leather jackets. I could tell it was my jacket because it had the same tell-tale torn front pocket on the chest. This was like 3 years after I had donated the jacket to the Goodwill. I was really surprised to see that.
Wait what? You shop walmart?
@woodcutter Yes I do. I just shopped there today with my two little uns’.
Why the surprise?
It ain’t so much surprise as the offhand chance there is now a possibility we may knock each other out of the way in there one day. You just seemed more of a Whole Foods and Brooks Bro’s shopper.
You can see the crazy in their eye’s?
Oh god you are gonna catch hell for that one.
Yeah, you know it’s a slow night.
