so that song that goes "one of these things is not like.. the other one." is that from sesame street? i can't remember.

Yes, this is from Sesame Street: One of these things is not like the other, one of these these isn't the same, can you guess which one is not like the other...from about 30 years ago.

My history teacher in eleventh grade sang this like everyday. It's not on iTunes, but they have some other sesame street classics.
