The Wednesday before last, downtown in an outdoor plaza. I was taking my first swing dancing lesson with my best friend. The night was warm, she was beautiful, and we learned how to swing dance to classic swing music, as well as modern rap (which was interesting and fun).
2 seconds ago in my hallway!
Today. I tried on my old pointe ballet shoes and danced around on my toes. :)
Aw crap With my dog, Molly during a Dancing with the Stars episode last year. She always jumped up on me to dance when music was on.
@kate Isn’t that the best/worst feeling in the universe?
I don’t go out to dance but I do dance by myself with the headphones and the ipod… I enjoy it very much!
@GabrielsLamb My feet felt like I was stabbing them with a 7 inch knife. Wasn’t a pretty feeling, but it felt great to be back on the toes. ;)
At a wedding a few months ago. All kinds of typical wedding music. No partner, but we danced in a big group, so I switched with different women I already knew.
I only slow dance, so other then the random bippity-bop around the kitchen to a song on the radio… it seems like it’s been ages.
There was a sweaty guy at my niece’s wedding but he was all sweaty and stinked so he don’t count; )
It was an icky kinda sweat, not a sexy one…
Alone in my kitchen to the music in my head, two days ago.
Far too long ago. My husband and I used to dance around the living room pretty much weekly, until our stereo broke. Really need to get a new one… I miss dancing!

A second ago in my kitchen!
I did a modern warm up at the gym couple days ago. I don’t know if you would count that as dancing or not. I’m working on my stretch and it hurts good.
Last night. Walking down the hallway from the kitchen with my husband following.
Years ago in a Goth bar. (although I did sing at a karaoke bar some less years ago than the goth bar dancing) Otherwise, I do it unofficially, when nobody is watching, and I’m not entirely sure it should be called dancing, really.
I joined in a circle dance at a Wiccan spring ritual 4 or 5 years ago. It took place on a green hillside a bit off the path of a hiking trail where some naturalists/herbalists in the group had been showing us all the edible plants and other special attractions along the way. The only music was the group’s singing.
I’m not a practitioner myself, but I always try to honor the customs of the various groups who are kind enough to let me attend their functions as a guest.
Yesterday I was getting ready for work while listening to my iPod and one of my favourite songs came on. I danced around my room for a bit and the dog joined in too!
Just came back from a party at school. Danced like crazy!
I don’t dance, but I was in a sort of mosh pit – for lack of a better word, because it wasn’t really a proper mosh pit – at a Frank Turner show that took place in a small venue a few weekends ago. I guess the music is typically described as ‘folkpunk.’ Doesn’t really count as dancing but it was super fun.
