Hmm.I think you should wear the boy pendent and he should wear the female one.That way it’ll be almost like a collar.Something like,Hey if you see this person know that they belong to me. Aww.

I think you could rotate the pendants. You wear the girl pendant and he wears the boy pendant for a while. Then you switch the pendants and you wear the boy pendant and he wears the girl pendant and switch again when you want to. That way, you would get a feel of who should wear which pendant or if you want to continue to switch.
