I've about had it with everyone. Ever needed a break from everyone (except your SO)?

Yes. Many times. Just did this myself for the past two weeks. Sometimes you need to take a break and hang with your immediate family or loved one. Nothing wrong with that.
take care of yourself when you need it and do what makes you happy. you’ll feel better
From everyone including my SO.
One of the greatest things I ever did for myself was take a 6-week retreat and spend it alone in a cabin in the mountains. The expansiveness of spirit and the utter freedom of it were—I can’t say “exhilarating” because that word doesn’t express depth. It was balm to the soul. And I wasn’t even fed up with anyone before I went.
If I can replace SO with myself, then yes.
Abso-frickin’-lutely.
I am taking right one now from all family except the members of my household. I’d had it. I let my husband know I felt we needed to focus all energy and attention on our household. He agreed.
Yep, I’ve had many a time where I said “F” the public and just hung out at my house to get away from it all. I’m fairly introverted and too much of most others will grate on my nerves, especially the day in, day out stuff. It’s good to take a little time and hit the restart button.
I need time to unwind from the everyday stuff that goes on. If I don’t, I get tired and stressed. Your question is something I need to do every week, usually on the weekends. If I go for more than a week without taking a break, it’ll all come crumbling down, and its not pretty. So I’d say it’s definitely common to have the urge to break away from it all (“it” being people or stress).
I guess an analogy would be coffee (for all you coffee drinkers out there). If I don’t get away from it all, it’s just like going a day without coffee. I need my fix.
I sometimes feel the need to get away from everyone and everything except my dogs. Then I get over it. I think living on the opposite side of the world from my family makes my life so much simpler!!!
Yes, that’s why I chose to live alone.
We always said we were going to Timbuktu to get away from it all.
Yeah, I keep getting into these slumps where everyone pisses me off no matter what they do. I try to keep it together and be nice to my coworkers but am not always successful.
I feel that way from time to time. It’s hard when I am feeling incredibly low but have no choice but to be around other people.
