Make sure you ask the bride to be if she would like, or feel comfortable with a stripper. There was a question a few months back about a bride who’s cousin had already booked a stripper, but the bride was very embarrassed about it and did not want one.
I’m in that camp too. A stripper would be very tacky and embarrassing to me and most of my friends. Find out what the bride would actually like (even if it is a stripper) and then go from there.
Some brides, might prefer a night out with just a few girls at a really swanky restaurant, maybe just for drinks and dessert. Other brides would be thrilled to take a long weekend camping trip. Other brides might enjoy a day spa trip and a nice lunch. It just depends upon the taste of the bride. Don’t do something sexy or raunchy, just because that seems to be the norm these days. Find out what your bride likes and doesn’t like and plan around that.
Maybe there’s a band playing at a local club, or even a tribute band. I’ve seen a couple of shows by tribute bands that were really fun. Think Queen, or The Beatles or U2. Have a girls night out at a concert and enjoy hooting and hollering at the lead singer, without hubby to be getting jealous, and without the stripper, which could be very awkward.
I’ve also heard about women going to chocolate and wine tasting parties at local restaurants. Find out if any of the restaurants in your town, provide such a service.
Maybe you and your bride would enjoy going to a beach bonfire and having a cookout. I know it’s a little cool right now, but sometimes that’s the best time for a bonfire and a weepy night telling stories to each other. Then go to breakfast at a fancy hotel in the morning, dressed to the nines.
Try to be creative, but make sure whatever you choose is something the bride, herself, would actually like.
If it was me, I’d be thrilled by the camping trip, or even a trip to Disneyland, where I could eat nachos and onion rings all day long, and not have to offend my fiance with my breath.
