What is your favorite movie?
I’m looking to see what movies other opinions enjoy so that I can seek and watch movies that are liked. (I typically like horror movies that scare me until i pee myself and/or dramas but anything will do)

It changes with the season, but it’s currently Memento. Inglourious Basterds isn’t far behind it.
Usually the last good movie I have seen, but Casablanca has been number 2 since I was 12.
Welcome to fluther
It’s a tie between Fight Club and Full Metal Jacket.
Always a hard question to answer.
A perennial favourite is Monty Python’s The Meaning of Life.
Some newer loves are Oldboy, Ichi the Killer, I Saw the Devil, anything Liam Neeson or Clint Eastwood appears in, and Harry Brown.
there is not enough room to list them all here.
If you are talking of horror, i like the classics. Frankenstien, dracula, werewolf, etc….
The Seventh Seal. It’s so beautiful, it makes me cry.
As for horror, it’s either the Evil Dead Trilogy or Argento’s “Opera”
I have trouble choosing a favourite anything except film, which is Sherlock Junior.
I analyzed one of the scenes for a film class.
Hard to pick just one. “Mulholland Drive”, “The Big Lebowski”, and “Zoolander” are certainly in my top 5.
Some of my favourite horror movies.
The entire Halloween series.
Cookers.
Dawn of the Dead (the whole original trilogy plus Night of the Living Dead remake also own)
Dolls
Pet Sematary
The Devil’s Rejects
Eraserhead (not really horror, but much more disturbing than most horror)
My favourite horror movie ever is probably Sleepy Hollow though. Speaking of Tim Burton, I’m also madly in love with Corpse Bride.
My favourite movie of all time, which isn’t actually horror, Trainspotting. It’s funny, wise, disturbing and just plain awesome. The Scottish accent doesn’t take long to get used to. (the book is even more hardcore)
Fargo
Best In Show is a close second.
Jacob’s Ladder.
Psychological horror and human suffering is delicious.
@noservice Word up. Love that movie. And welcome to Fluther. :)
Hmm….Star Wars, The Devil’s Rejects, Silence of the Lambs, Dawn of the Dead and Clerks II.
I have a few favourites but Mermaids (with Cher and Bob Hoskins), Rain Man, Gia and The Elephant Man stand out as being my absolute favourites.
This changes every time I stop and think about it but The Illusionist is very high on my list of all time favorites and I have to give a nod to Spirited Away and Stardust they’re up there too.
I’m also a big horror movie fan. The Devils Rejects is up there, Below, House of the Devil, Trick ‘r Treat I really enjoy. Any of the classic slashers Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, Prowler plenty of others I’m blanking on have a ton of Saturday afternoon re-watch value for me.
For, what I thought was good horror but I don’t hear about as much, give Chasing Sleep, Repulsion, or Dead Birds a try.
I hate horror (I don’t have the guts) but for a good drama, try the Pursuit of Happiness. I usually watch comedies but I love superhero movies. Captain America was great, but I’m not sure it’s out on video.
Also, welcome to Fluther.
Oh! Great recent drama – “The Kids Are All Right”
I’m so in love with Julianne Moore.
“Hanna”. That movie was amazing.
Just so you know, it came out on the day before my 13th birthday and I’m going to watch it again for another birthday :D
^ I totally wanna see that movie.
