How do I revive this plant?
We bought a chili pepper in an open morning market in the main city square (Zagreb). It was doing great. It still is in a way. We’ve already taken some of the peppers and put the to dry. Some others now are still turning red, getting ready for the picking, but the problem is: the plant is withered!
I assume lymph is still flowing, since its fruits are still developing, but the leaves are now completely dry and the stems are quite sucked in, too.
I’ve transplanted it three times. first time from the cut bottle it was sold in.Then to a wider pot, but after having watered it excessively I suspect, I gave it another home with new dryer soil I took from the woods. It started withering at the second transplant.

Do not use dirt from the woods. If it’s in a pot you need potting soil. And don’t overwater. Worst of the seven deadly sins.
It may be in shock, keep it warm, not too wet and in a sunny place with southern exposure for optimum natural sunlight. It is also coming to the end of it’s season and if it is an annual variety, which most peppers are, it is going to die anyway. Save some dried pods for seeds for next year.
I think @Coloma is right, it’s most likely an annual, and there is nothing to be done.
Once you let the peppers turn on the vine the pepper usually dies naturally, it can take a while if it had a lot of fruit on the vine.
If you want the plant to last, you have to pick the peppers before they start to turn. If it is an annual you will still lose it eventually, just not as soon.
Like @Coloma said save some seeds for next year, and hope it is not a hybrid that was designed not to grow from seeds.
