[NSFW] Do you do this for your dog? Yea or nay?

Hmmm… first one, now two references on Fluther to people wiping their dogs’ butts. Is this a common practice among dog owners? To the best of my knowledge, my own dog-owning friends do not do this (though I suspect I am about to start asking). I just want to know what I’m in for!
