This is a tough question. I would have to say The Royal Tennebaums but I love them all.
Hotel Chevalier. Natalie Portman does a nude scene. Nuff said.
The Royal Tenenbaums
– Probably my favorite.
The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou
– I knew nothing about this – didn’t see a trailer or know who was even in it when I saw it in the theater, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Nobody seems to have seen this, however.
The Darjeeling Limited
– Probably the most hated by Anderson fans. I love it, however.
Rushmore
– I think this one is overrated. Everyone seems to love this.
Bottle Rocket
– Saw it one afternoon, somewhat enjoyed it, then completely forgot everything about it. That’s not a good sign.
Fantastic Mr. Fox, hands down.
I choose this film because of the particular use of puppets. The characters created for this movie were, for the most part, fantastic. They were deep, expressive, opinionated, and filled with particular character flaw. However, no matter how real they seem, the puppets are used in such a way that you never forget they’re puppets, and animals. From the small things like the way they eat or are incapable of smiling properly, to major actions scenes that are portrayed like picture books, the film creates a very particular image for the world that never becomes overly immersive, and I love it.
The Royal Tennenbaums

I’ve only just recently watched Rushmore, The Fantastic Mr. Fox, and The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.
Prior to seeing those, I would have said The Royal Tenenbaums was my favourite. Now, I’m actually thinking Rushmore. Or a tie between the two. I didn’t expect to love Rushmore as much as I did. Ended up watching it twice within the span of 24 hours. I think it’s because of Bill Murray.
Nice, my favorite is Bottle Rocket. Dignan being my favorite character in a movie ever! He’s just so longing and innocent, yet a leader haha, just strange.
I thought this was going to be an easy question to answer, but I am incredibly torn. The Royal Tenenbaums has a special meaning to me because it is one of the first films my brother and I watched together when we really started to get into cinema. The Darjeeling Limited (and I cannot for the life of me determine why Wes fans loathe it so much) has beautiful scenes in it that resonate strongly with me. However, if I were to choose just one film, it would be The Fantastic Mr. Fox because the sheer amount of detail that went into this gem enables me to spot something new every time I watch it.
And I felt so much like Ash while growing up.
