What question(s) have you asked here that generated or resulted in the best answers and comments, or discussion in your opinion?
I’ve seen questions here that ask what you think was your best question was, or maybe what your best response was… but what question have you asked that produced the best comments? Maybe someone has already asked this, I don’t know.

I asked this
I rather liked the discussion it generated. I hope I’ll be able to come up with more like that.
Sweet holy moly, to say what questions spawned the best answers is rather nebulous to define to me. I know questions I thought had the better logical answers even if no one else thought so. There were some questions where a particular type of answers leaning a particular way got more Atta boys as deemed by the Lagoon. Just because there was a lot of answers I would not say they were mostly quality answers. There have been so many questions trying to remember which ones had the better, logical answers would take some digging.
I recently posted about the second question I ever asked here, and it’s still one of my favorite discussions prompted by one of my own questions. If you read it, you’ll note that I wasn’t an all out atheist when I first got here.
Two days ago, I asked this one, and it’s generated a way bigger discussion than I anticipated. It’s an interesting read, I think.
@Hypocrisy_Central I’m asking about quality, not quantity here. I have no doubt that you have asked a question that spawned a discussion. You can’t think of one that stands out from the rest?
@lillycoyote I remember your Q. That was a really good one. <3
@augustlan That’s what this question is about though. Not that my Q was good, but that the answers and comments to it were so amazing and so honest and so heartfelt. I revisited that question a day or so ago and was still impressed by the comments and responses I got. You Qs were good too, but the answers from folks here were pretty awesome too. Other people may have asked people a question that kind them riled up, or got them thinking, or got them remembering their heartbreaks. It’s kind of the same as “What makes a good question?” I guess. A good question is one that generates good answers.
I guess I should say it was a good thread, because yes, the answers were awesome, too. I don’t think I’ve ever asked a question that had responses like those. It really makes you think.
@augustlan I edited my comment a bit. Just thought I should tell you, but yes, maybe that should have been the question: “What is the best thread you have ever generated”? But I wouldn’t be sure how to ask that one; how to explain exactly what I meant.
@lillycoyote I guess one question that did stick out in my mind as having a lot of good material for one to chew on was this.
Some of your questions are really great :P [ or is it “were great” ? ^^ .. well for me they are new ].
This question of mine produced the most interesting discussion in my opinion.
Personally, it is my compendium of “Milo’s here. Help” questions and answers.
My questions were straight-forward and triggered by a sense of immediacy and desperation..
The responses have become a collection that I use as an owner’s manual.
This one had the most helpful answers of any question I’ve asked so far. A lot of that advice was really helpful with preparing my son for walking alone to school. :)
Thanks for all the answers everyone. It can be easy to miss some of the best of fluther, you either get caught up in other questions or you take a day or a few off and miss some completely. It’s been interesting reading all the threads you’ve mentioned here.
This one didn’t get a ton of answers but the sentiment that is shared throughout is still my favorite.
Oh, I remembered a good one! This one was full of warm feelings, and had a successful outcome.
Either I have never asked a question that resulted in the best answers or discussion, or I can’t remember one. I doubt if anyone else would remember (after all; it’s not your question), but do you recall any that struck you in one way or another as having a notable discussion or some halfway interesting answers? Hell! Even questions that resulted in notably bad answers would be interesting. I apologize for being so forgetful, but I guess that’s what one should expect at my age.
This question about marijuana was the first to come to my mind when I read your question. There have been others that I have enjoyed the discussion generated but as this was the first to pop into my head it obviously struck me as a good debate.
