Steve Jobs had a pretty solid resume going until he died. He was a multibillionaire in charge of a gigantic multi-national corporation that is capable of knowing where you are at almost any moment. He even commissioned the building of a new Apple headquarters building that looks like a grounded space ship (why not just clear our a volcano?). Throw in the guys cut throat mentality and even the cancer fighting story… and you have a perfect bond villain.
Some currently living suggestions; Rupert Murdoch (who the guy in Tomorrow Never Dies may or may not be based on), Kim Jong Il, Putin, that guy that owns Virgin Records and always does crazy stuff.. etc, etc
Can you think of any real life Bond Villains, and what are their qualifications. Comparisons to actual villains from the movies encouraged.

Dick Cheney and Karl Rove. I think they used mind control techniques on Bush because he was a dumb enough follower. They used him to hatch their masterplan.
Kim Jong oh dear, he looks ill.
The movie could be called Wonely Midget
The Koch Bros. They seem to have insidious connections all over the place. And the could hire the Winkelvoss twins as “the faces” of their nefarious schemes.
The Chinese backed military junta that rules over Burma who slaughtered monks and civilians a few years ago as they shout for democracy. Bond would have to infiltrate the Chinese Communist Party, find a secret so embarrassing, one enough to destabilize China and use that as leverage to give up its protection of the Burmese dictator. Then the forces of democracy would come in and destroy these Burmese douchebags.
Sarah Palin would be the perfect Femme Fatale. Bond would bang her before blowing her up.
Putin knows Judo That could be fun.
James Bond type villians ? Maybe some of the mobsters in places where they are effectively the government like Somalia, Naples and Russia.
The Koch Bros and Murdoch don’t qualify in my mind because technically their crimes against humanity are pretty much “legal”.
@tedd What’s wrong with Sir Richard Branson “that guy that owns Virgin Records and always does crazy stuff.. etc, etc” He’s not so evil from what I can tell, he’s a nice family man with an adventure streak. He would be Bond’s accomplice on the good side.
Steve Jobs is no hero in my book either. He’s reknown to be quite the bully personally, and Apple under his control is a good example of the worst of globalization’s race to the bottom for the workers who make all Apple’s products. There is no evidence he was interested in any philanthropy and he suspended Apple’s charity programs when he came back to the company after Pixar (they were reinstated following his death).
Job’s was a good designer and a perfectionist but he invented almost none of the things that people think he did, and was notorious for taking credit for ideas his staff came up with just because he made a little tweak.
@dabbler Well none of them are probably actually villains. But they meet all of the criteria set forth in the bond films. Many of those villains on screen were portrayed in the fictional media as good people.
@Qingu Hey be nice. I almost took a job with Erik Prince.
I vote for Mark Zuckerberg
