What song is this? Is it "Akon"?

Asked by digitalimpression (9923points) October 28th, 2011

I wish I could sing it for you but I can’t. I’m pretty sure the song is by Akon but I can’t be sure. In the hook (chorus) it sounds like “into the sunrise” ... something about 45? ... I really don’t know and the tune has been stuck in my head for weeks without knowing what the actual song is.

For the musicians out there, the chorus is pretty much like this:
G G G G G F#, F# F# F# F# F# F F

I wish I had more to go on. This has created a bubble in my brain that simply must be popped.

Not sure. Could it be Na Na Na? Nothing about a sunrise in the lyrics, but the notes sound similar (oh, and ignore the train sound effects :-p

@HungryGuy That’s not it, but that’s an interesting train.. =) The song definitely has the word sunrise in it.

Do you know the rhythm? Because you could try Songtapper, which actually works. Seriously, I don’t know how it knew I was thinking of Rhapsody in Blue, but it did after having that stuck in my head…

@Aethelflaed Very unusual tool, but very cool. This time it gave me a lot of suggestions but none by akon. =(

@digitalimpression – Yeah. Whenever I hear Na Na Na, it reminds me of a train going through a tunnel :-p

@all Your ideas finally led me to the answer! Bubble popped! I’m not even sure how I stumbled across it lol. This is the song that has been stuck in my head for weeks.

Spooky. Songtapper actually picked up on Beethoven’s Ode to Joy. I’m impressed.

And now the Battle Hymn of the Republic.
