What have you bought recently that you just love?

Asked by JLeslie (65743points) October 31st, 2011

You know, something you bought, weren’t sure if you would like it, and now can’t imagine how you lived without it? My DVR used to be my classic example, but I have had it for 5 years now. The thing changes your life!

Recently I bought a pair of Abercrombie and Fitch sweat pants, I almost didn’t buy them, I wasn’t sure if I liked how they fit, and now I flippin’ love them! I wish I had them in three colors. They are so comfy, and I bought the straight leg that you can roll up at the bottom.

A new kind of frozen pizza called Open Nature.

@YARNLADY What store do you buy it from?

Multi colored sweet chili peppers from Costco. They grill up so nice and make everything delicious!

I didn’t buy it, my sweetie did but I love my Tom Tom portable navigation gizmo.

@Neizvestnaya Are they fresh peppers?

How recently is recently? I got a smart phone a year and a half ago, and it’s more than love. It’s like this thing is making my life ten times easier than it was before. I also got a leather backpack to replace my old fading bag. It is beautiful and full of pockets and I love it! Although it is falling apart already. Had to make a visit to the shoe guy to have the handle on top sewed back on tightly.

A SSD for my computer. It is freakishly fast for things like booting and opening applications. Photoshop opens in under two seconds.

@JLeslie It’s either Food Maxx or Safeway, my husband does the shopping, so I’m not sure.

@JLeslie: Yes they’re fresh and really cute too! We grill them up with onions for steaks, slice them for pizzas, slice and toss them in salads or sautee real quick to make a colorful side dish. They’re about the size of a Jalepeno but in orange, red and golden-yellow. YUM!

@Neizvestnaya I have never seen sweet small peppers like that. They sound yummy.

@wundayatta My husband feels the same about his smartphone, we just got ours maybe 6 months ago, and I feel like I am wasting our money for mine. But, I don’t work right now. I got one for my dad also, and he uses it for work amd it has been very useful.

Can the leather backpack accomodate 81/2 by 11 papers so they stay flat? It sounds beautiful. Is it very heavy?

wundayatta's avatar

@JLeslie Yes, you can have the papers. It has a computer pocket, and that is the perfect size for paper and you can velcro it closed so everything stays flat. Of course, other backpacks do this, too. It’s not heavy.

@wundayatta Interesting. A backpack might be easier for me for travel? Anything I carry on one arm or in my hands gets too heavy with my muscle trouble. I actually could try one that I have stashed upstairs.

I bought a duck [toy one]. I see it every day. [I have it for a few months now]. It always make me smile because I always remember about good times from my childhood. I should pick a name for this duck :D

That’s a pretty fish. My dad breeds koi and he has one that looks like that.

A week or so ago, I bought a cheap pair of smart dress shoes for £10. Not only was it a miracle to find smart adult-looking mens shoes small enough to fit me, they’re actually also really comfortable. I’m going to go back and buy another pair before they’re discontinued.

A body pillow (a must for the 3rd trimester of pregnancy!). I love it SO much.

I could name a number of things but the first to come to mind is my Nook. It makes reading books more enjoyable and I don’t have to lug books around in my purse. It’s a really great gadget.
