How do I save pictures taken on my webcam to my computers "pictures" folder?

I just bought the HP Touchsmart Tx2 laptop/tablet. I’m still learning how to use it. When I want to take a picture on my webcam I have to go into my “Touchsmart Home” screen, go to my webcam and take the picture. But after the picture is taken (and saved in the webcam app) I cant upload it to anything, the only option is to upload them to YouTube. I’m assuming I would have to save or import them to my computers “picture” file and do it that way like normal. But there is no option or setting to save them anywhere other then in the webcam.
How do I save my webcam pictures so I can upload them or view them without actually going into the webcam itself?

I’m not familiar with that software but if you are desperate you could always just take a screenshot of the screen and crop it to get a jpg of the picture you want to save/upload.
@johnpowell Like take a picture with my phone of the screen and crop it? Or are you referring to Apples products capability’s where you can take a “screen shot” such as you do on the iPhone/iPod?
I’m thinking of a screenshot like this. Does your laptop have a button that says something like Prt Scr?
And if you have a recent version of windows you should have the Snipping Tool.
@johnpowell I have a button that says “Insert” and on that button below the word insert it says “prt sc” is that the same thing?
Yes. When you hit the prt sc button it should copy what is on your display to the clipboard and from there you can paste it into any program that supports images (like MS Paint).
Depending on the laptop you might have to hit the function key to toggle it to prt sc. I don’t have your computer in front of me so I am kinda running on guesswork here.
i dont know if im doing this right, i hit the Fn button then the prt sc button and nothing happened. even tried holding them at the same time.
That just copies the like when you copy and paste text. Instead of text it just copies the screen. You still need to paste it somewhere.

Hate to say it, but your going to be sorry with your purchase. I bought one, and they overheat so much they warp the motherboard. Just a word of advice.
One option [I’m sorry if anyone said it before.. I don’t have time to read replies now] is to use a picture editor and chance the extension. Acdsee works great for this.
@Hibernate I don’t know what that is.
@XOIIO really? Is that what happened to yours?
Google acdsee and you’ll understand.
@Inked_up_chic Yeah, it served me great over the three years, but it was a huge dissapointment when it happened, I payed over $1,500 for it, although it may have been slightly different, it was when they were new, because I have laptops older than I am that work perfectly. I’m not going to buy HP again.
