Does anyone have a good documentary or video on the history of Ireland in the 20th century?

Asked by Aethelflaed (13755points) November 1st, 2011

I need to catch up on my Irish history for my Irish history class. I could read the book (and that is an option), but I also have lots of other reading and studying to do, so a video or four would be really awesome in helping speed things along. I know many history students make little video things and post them on YouTube. Or maybe a short podcast? Anything I can listen to.

Timeline: WWI – 1950ish.

Thanks so much!

You might want to look at The Story of Ireland.

It’s a five part series produced by the BBC and is available on youtube but you kind of have to put the damn thing together like a puzzle to see the whole thing on youtube, in the correct order. Maybe you can find it somewhere else.
