Why does it seem females have more of a propensity to take their own photo in the mirror?
With all the latest buzz over Angie Varona, unwittingly becoming a Web pinup girl at 14 years of age , after her Photobucket account was hacked. It is surprising to me, that it does not happen more. One Facebook, and Photobucket, etc, it seems if you seen one guy taking his own pic in the mirror, you have eight girls and women to the one guy. Why does it seem females have the propensity to snap their own pic, many times in racy attire, more than guys?

I never understood the bathroom mirror pic of yourself. wtf? lol
Male or female, that’s just stupid.
Well I think in pop culture showing off your body is a confidence builder. Even by looking at it for yourself. Like I remember taking nude photos of my awesome bod when I was around 14–16. I had a banging body, now I’m fat and its hard to get rid of the fat. So.. there’s one perspective I guess.
I didn’t know women do it more than men, but when I first saw the questions I wasn’t think sexy and naked. Women obsess about their bodies more and they get more attention than men regarding their bodies, so women look for positive feedback. Their body has value out there in the market. In the market for men and even female friends, because especially when girls are young they are evaluated by how they look. Even when you are older a lot of men are evaluating women by how they look.
Because when other people take your picture they always get the wrong angle. If you are taking a mirror picture then you can see what you look like before you snap it.
Women are far more concerned as to how they look. Bathrooms are well lit, have a mirror, and give them room to pose.
Guys just webcam sitting at their computers, looking slovenly, unconcerned for lighting or dress. Hence, so many guys with their dicks out on chat roulette.
Jerry: “Well, I was walking around naked in front of Melissa the other day—”
Elaine: “Whoa! Walking around naked? Ahh… that is not a good look for a
man.”
George: “Why not? It’s a good look for a woman.”
Elaine: “Well, the female body is a… work of art. The male body is
utilitarian, it’s for gettin’ around, like a jeep.”
Jerry: “So you don’t think it’s attractive?”
Elaine: “It’s hideous. The hair, the… the lumpiness. It’s simian.”
George: “Well, some women like it.”
Elaine: “Hmm. Sickies.”
@worriedguy Don’t forget the Chris Lee and Anthony Weiner debacles. They sent their stuff to another person where either the person they sent it to leaked it, or it got out once they sent it. Those politicians didn’t just take it, plaster it on some online billboard, of any and all to see if they came by that Web site. Yet so many females do that. Guys post pics of themselves but it is usually taken by a 2nd or 3rd party, not by themselves with a camera phone, etc.
Because at that age it can be “in” to look slutty.
@deni how does taking a photo in a mirror make someone look ‘slutty’?
Does the girl in the original question not? Is that not the point? To get guys attention by being half nude?
“Taking a photo in a mirror” is not slutty.
“Taking a photo in a mirror” in your underwear is clearly slutty.
Just the way it is, but few people want to see guys in slutty poses, but lots of people like to see gals in slutty poses.
