Can I be notified of an answered question on firefox?
Is there an app/addon for fluther on firefquestions has been answered? (kind of like an e-mail notification icon on the tray.)

As far as I’m aware, no. But you can set your notifications to notify you by email when you have new activity, I believe.
There is an article on instructbles or hackaday that uses a greasemonkey script to turnn on LED’s that are connected to the parralell port when there is a facebook chat message or notification, I’m sure you could tweak it for fluther.
Why not just use email though?
