MMA - and more specifically - Women's MMA - your thoughts?

I have been trying to watch, and get my head around women’s MMA to no avail.

I am probably your average, slightly chauvenistic heterosexual (mostly, but that’s for another thread) male; for the life of me, I can’t understand women kicking the shit out of each other as a form of entertainment.

Men, also not so much – but I get it. It’s simple evolution and is not unlike 10 guys running around with a basketball, or 22 guys kicking a soccer ball. Just using their hands and trying to beat the opponent senseless. It’s like tennis, with fists.

But women? MMA? Mixed martial arts-way of beating each other up?

Hey, I’m all for women in the military. I don’t think twice about a female doctor, lawyer or pilot, for that matter.

I don’t even snort woman driver when one is doing 25 in the fast lane, or pulls out of a spot without looking in her mirrors.

I am only a little bit chauvenistic, the intellectual type, if I may be so brash – the kind that has the dna in him, but tries to fight it. The kind that nature and nurture are constantly at battle, but intellectualizes it and tries to rationalise it by thinking; we are all human, and we are all equal. First and foremost.

MMA – women beating each other up – not enjoying it at all.
