Could my Youtube videos be showing up blank because of a computer virus?

What browser are you using? A few details might help.

Oh it’s a Internet explorer 7 or 8. I’m not sure. I have the latest flash player too and it was working up until I got this nasty virus. I tried to get rid of it but i think it damaged my computer cause it’s running much slower now:/

I’m not sure we’ll be able to help you now that you have a virus.
Wipe you pc, make sure you antivirus software is updated immediately after you install Windows. Then use a decent browser (Chrome or FF).

You will have to follow the removal steps for the specific virus.

How about doing a scan first and finding out what the malware is? If you can detect it, then we can go from there.

If you can’t, it may get a lot more complex. I would start with system restore in this case.

try updating the browser if possible. or use firefox, it’s better anyway.

No, you don’t have a virus. There is an easy fix for this.

Now I have to remember how to do this.

Go to a video NOT on youtube, and right click it.
Fill the “enhance” button.

Now try youtube.
