TGIF (for Canadians, tgif eh?) - whatcha doing this weekend?

At last, a whole week of vacation time!

I intend to spend the bulk of it doing those home maintenance projects that always fall off the bottom of the list due to lack of time.

Saturday – re-tile and re-grout the shower…

I am hosting a LAN party where we will play many old games.

I’m serious.

Tomorrow I am working my reception job in the morning and singing in a charity concert in the evening. On Sunday I am working my dog training job in the morning and no plans for the afternoon. Roll on Sunday afternoon!

My father is stopping by this weekend to meet his first grandchild for the first time.

I’m writing an essay on the environmental effects of salmonid aquaculture. Interesting stuff but I would rather be out on the beach looking in rock pools or whatever.
I might also bake a cake and read my book :). Depending on the weather I might talk my boyfriend into teaching me how to fly his kite down at the beach but if the weather is too strong I’m really not up for a face full of sand as it is a pretty big kite!

It’s pouring – so I’ll spend it mostly indoors. But there’s a good basketball game Saturday evening I’m looking forward to – thanks for asking.

I hope to see “Happy Feet Two” at the local iMax theater (and I’ll think of our favorite fluther penguin), I’ll start organizing my recipes, etc. for the Thanksgiving feast that is upon us next week, and generally, I’ll just chill.

I went to Lips (possibly NSFW? it’s a drag club) last night (which was so so fun), but that’s the end of my real ‘weekend.’ I’m stuck doing tons of work for my classes for the rest of it.
I spent all day today working on maths, have quite a bit more to do before I have to take my math test (online), and then have to start on a paper and presentation on Doctor Who. The latter sounds pretty fun, but I hate presentations, and am very worried about how this is going to turn out.

In game form that is. Other than that, I’m hibernating. Pillows! Soft!
