What if protesters start pooling their funds to invest in riot gear?

Better yet, what if the protesters start picking up after themselves all the freaking garbage they’re leaving behind?

How about they step us and keep the roadways clear and train terminals clear so working/taxpaying people won’t be impeded or assaulted?

@Neizvestnaya, not that I have a dog in this particular fight, but the whole point of mass protest is to disrupt business as usual, which is the only way they can be effective. And OWS is hardly an example of that kind of mass protest. See France or Italy or this link. And who is doing the assaulting?

I cwertainly hope it is not necessary to move to open rebellion in order to take our country back from the money intrests that have a stnaglehold on Washington DC these days.

There will be breaking news tomorrow about what billionaires and corporate interests were behind hiring a powerful political operation to try to destroy the OWN movement before it could make any substantive changes, and how they intended to do it. I think that will just add millions of additional voices to the movement.

I agree with the demonstators and their good intentions.

If your suggestion ever came to pass, their demonstration would turn into a riot and in riots, people really do get hurt and killed. Been there…..done that.

By buying and wearing this type of equipment, their intentions to demonstrate, becomes an intention to do bodily harm to police officers and other citizens.
