IE and FF work ONLY with proxy settings, but then Chrome will only work without... Why?

Hi! I have a relatively new HP TouchSmart 310 PC running Windows 7 Home accessing the internet via WiFi. Basically, Chrome is the only browser that works, unless I put in a web proxy, then IE and FF will work, but then Chrome won’t. I have run RKill, Malwarebytes and Avast and nothing odd has turned up. Any ideas?
