Should I unlock iPhone 4 before selling on Craigslist?

I have a pristine AT&T iPhone 4, 32GB, 1 year old. Need to drop AT&T and return to Verizon (AT&T calls regularly dropped). Good time to upgrade to 4S – for improved camera, mostly.

I see similar models approx $400.00 on Craigslist. Some unlocked, some say “AT&T.” I’m not afraid of unlocking process, but wondering if it’s worth it?

If you unlock it so it registers as unlocked on Apples iTunes server then do it. Otherwise don’t bother.

I wouldn’t go through the effort. Jailbreaking is pretty easy these days so not many people will be willing to pay a premium for unlocked iPhones.
