Are you just transfering them to another Computer disc?
What do you intend on playing them on?
Another computer?
A DVD player?
The question is fairly vague. More details please.
Just place all the pictures you want to transfer into a folder and select them all and choose “burn to disc.” This is assuming you’re running Windows.
As for the disc, you can use a standard CD. If you want to be able to rewrite the disc, use a CDRW.
It’s simple really. If you run into any problems, just ask away. =]
How many pictures?
Thumb Drive?
Floppy Disc?
CD?
External Hard drive?
DVD?
SD Card?
There are tons of ways to transfer it to a disc of some kind. It all depends on your requirements.
Assume you want to have pictures on a CD disc. The easiest way is to gather all your pictures in a folder. Then you burn to a blank CD disc. First, it will prompt you to select the pictures that you want to transfer. After CD burning process is over, you will have a collection of pictures kept safely in a disc.
Why a “disk” ? If you’re transferring them, the hot setup these days is a USB “thumb-drive”.
On the other hand if you want to give them to someone else, a burnable CD is very cheap – follow @Male‘s and @citizenearth advice above to burn a CD.
P.s. tell us why you want to do this, what you’re going to do with the ‘disk’ of picture files. That will help answer the question more specifically.
I want to use a cheap cd disc.and send it to someone so they have the disc of pictures. The pictures are in a folder on my PC. They will have it for computer use.
Ah ! Then get a writable CD (probably a pack of them) at staples or…lots of places – follow @Male‘s and @citizenearth advice above to burn a CD.
Assuming your OS is recognizing the drive correctly, the CD that you are trying to write onto has probably been finalized.
When a CD is finalized, no more writing is allowed.
There are special software such as Nero or Roxio to write to CDs, but if the CD was finalized, even the software won’t help.
If you want to do multiple writes to a CD, make sure that the blank CD you will be using is a re-writeable CD-RW.
