Would it be frowned upon to give candy to tollbooth workers?

I may be visiting a friend of mine in another state soon and I will be going on toll roads. Would it be a bad idea to bring along a few pieces of sealed candy for the toll booth workers? They have such a crappy job and generally, people treat them so badly, I thought a little something like that might cheer them up, but I don’t want to be flagged for improper conduct or some such nonsense like that.
