Is there a character, or situation in a book or film that you wish you could revisit years later?

The movie “Love Story” was so convincing and so set in a background of a university theme and snow, that I would love to revisit that film and the actors.
Maybe, while I am there, I can go on a sleigh ride.
One of my last requests…......a sleigh ride.
I think I’m interpreting the question wrong, but I wish I could go back and watch Doctor Who for the first time again. I had no idea what I was getting myself into.
Off the top of my head:
I want to know what happened after the Emperor was killed at the end of Return of the Jedi (the books don’t count – I want to see it on film, dang it).
I want to know how Bean and his kids fared when they put themselves in time dilation at the end of the Ender’s Shadow series (Orson Scott Card claims to be working on a followup, but he’s been claiming that for several years now).
I want to know how the 8th Doctor contributed to the end of the Last Great Time War and regenerated into the 9th Doctor in Doctor Who
I want to know what the hell happened to Arther’s girlfriend between the 4th and 5th novels in the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy “trilogy”.
I want to go live in the villages of Catherine Cookson’s novels or Agatha Christies’s, maybe Dick Francis’s Yorkshire. I want to have independent weath, though.
Well, considering that this is your thread, I would love to see Capt. Picard and Dr. Crusher as an older married couple with grown children (in Starfleet Acadamey of course) and Wesley Crusher married with children.
I’d love to see Alan Rickman and Kate Winslet as a longtime married couple, and Hugh Grant and Emma Thompson as a longtime married couple (each with kids and problems and joys and continued romance) with regards to the movie Sense and Sensibility.
And of course, you know I would love to see Fran Drescher and Charles Shaughnessy as a married couple (it would be 12 years if anyone is interested) so they’d have 2 pre-teen twins, plus Gracie, Brighton and Maggie, who would probably also have children of their own. And yes, I do know that it’s a TV show and not a movie or a book, but…
And maybe this is too farfetched, but I’d love to see Alan Rickman, as Severus Snape, in heaven with his beloved Lily Evans (Potter) enjoying the love of their lives. It could be titled: The Bravest Man I Ever Knew and the Woman He Loved.
And once again, not a movie or a book, but a TV show. I’d love to see Cybill Shepherd and Bruce Willis re-united as a happy married couple.
I wish I could visit Totoro.. But I totally misinterpreted this title. As for, you know, an actual response, now that I reread the question: I’d like to visit Aziraphale and Crowley from Good Omens by Terry Pratchett Neil Gaiman, after or before the book’s timeline. Except during the 14th Century, of course. They’re just a good ol’ crowd, they are! But come to think of it, Totoro would still be awesome, and is a totally valid response in itself..
I’d love to see how Renton would handle Francis Begbie if they met again, after Renton made off with the cash.
This happens in the sequel to Trainspotting (book), but it involves sheer luck, and the Beggar getting hit by a car as he was off to kick Renton’s ass, which I find kinda retarded. Talk about a way to get out of writing something clever. Sorry, Welsh. But I really feel like Annie Wilkes right now.
ProTip; I haven’t even read the sequel lol. But I wanna.
My first goosebumps book or Are You Afraid of the Dark. I tried to watch some episodes on netflix and it just felt odd to watch them.
Not quite on topic but right now, I would like to see me five years from now!
@janbb looking into crystal ball You’ll be doing wonderful things with wonderful people!
I’d like to revisit Scout, Jem, Dill, Atticus and Boo Radley in To Kill a Mockingbird
I just thought of another one. I would love to see what happened to Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson after Lost In Translation and to finally find out what the heck he whispered to her at the end!
In the Hunger Games , they live in such a screwed up world, I would love to see that in person.
