How do you like your gift wrapped?
Do you pay much attention to how the gift you received was boxed, wrapped in decorative paper and ribboned? How about the other way around, how important is wrapping that gift before you give or send it away? Might you consider gift wrapping or packaging as an “art form” entirely——maybe almost as significant as the package it contains?
What was the most amazing gift wrapping style you have ever seen?

Honestly, it doesn’t matter how a gift is wrapped in my opinion. The fact that someone is kind enough to give me a gift is what I care about. But if I am the one wrapping the gifts, they must be wrapped perfectly before I give them away.
@Kandy Wow, I feel exactly the same way you do. Not picky when the gift is for me but in giving one away, most of the time I spend good money to have it wrapped and presented in a beautiful way.
Depends if it was wrapped with care I will take the time to admire it however if it was just thrown together then nope. I do take the time and care to wrap each gift with ribbons and big hand made bows. I also take the time to pick out really nice wrapping paper so it looks like I care what I am giving.
I don’t really mind how I wrap a present or how mine is wrapped. I’m not very good at wrapping, so I tend to stick with gift bags and tissue paper. I appreciate however my gift is wrapped, especially if it was a hard to wrap item and the gifter got creative.
I like gold foil with turquoise and purple sparkly ribbon. I won’t accept anything else. Not really. I think it’s nice if a gift is wrapped prettily, but a gift is a gift. . . always welcome; well almost always. I try to wrap gifts nicely, but it’s not high on my budget list.
The fancier someone wraps a gift, the less I want to open it.
Same here @wundayatta – If it’s pretty, why would you want to ruin it?
Wrapping is awesome. My dad never had any money, but he still managed to get gifts for me on Xmas or my birthday. But since he was cheap lol, he didn’t wrap them in wrapping paper. He saved the funny pages from the paper, and used that as wrapping. So while I was anticipating opening the presents, I could read all the strips on them in the meanwhile lol. I think it’s cute and creative.
He went out with a woman who was a fucking wrapping artist. You didn’t want to open the presents because they looked so good lol. Twirly shit all over, really nice wrapping paper, bows and flowers she made herself.
I suck at wrapping, so I put everything in a bag, and hide the contents with fluffy Xmas paper shit. I did learn how to twirl those wrapping strings with scissors though, so I always do that. Plus I never buy cards, I make my own.
In lingerie that’s easy to peel aside. :-)
It’s supposed to be wrapped properly. It should be neat, and throw in a small greeting card and some ribbons while you’re at it :) I love to unwrap things!
@Ayesha Wrapping myself right now, neatly, with a small greeting card and ribbons just for you.
I like the idea of neatly wrapped presents with one bow each on top. These presents seem to have the most effort put into them. I also like adorable present bags with cute tissue paper inside.
