I have a movie downloaded from the net but at some parts, the foreign subtitles are missing. Is there a way to insert the subtitles specifically for the parts that need them?
The movie is in English but some parts of it are spoken in a different language.

You can usually download subtitles and then have them sync up with the video. Both the video and the subtitle need to have the same name, so like if the video file is named Doctor.Who.S03E04.HDTV.XviD.LOL.avi the subtitle files needs to be named Doctor.Who.S03E04.HDTV.XviD.LOL.srt. But you can totally rename the file, it doesn’t have to already be named that. And then make sure they’re in the same folder. You might get subtitles for the entire movie, but then you can use whatever show/hide subtitle features your video player has to only show them for the foreign parts. Just Google movie title + subtitles.
You can edit the movie or part of it with software like iMovie (Apple)... and put to each scene or picture a text…
