Why doesn't Supergirl get more attention?

I prefer Super Grandma. Photographer helps his 91 year old grandma deal with depression by making her a superhero. It’s fantastic.

I think Supergirl doesn’t get as much attention because Wonder Woman took all the glory for being the female superhero 17 years before Supergirl came around.

Uh, because she sucks and is lame and no one cares about her? I’d rather read a comic with Robin.

No doubt @cockswain… The Supergirl concept is just awful… Underdog is more original.

Honest and true, red white and blue works for Superman, but guys want women who are a little more…playful.
I think if she was handled right, she could develop into a major Superhero.

First, I think present times dictate you can’t use the word “girl” anymore if you are a superhero who is actually an adult. Second, it’s primarily a man’s world, sad to say, in the superhero universe. You can’t exist as an alter ego, a sidekick or worse, a distant cousin of one of the major badass superheroes out there.

To be a successful female superhero today, you have got to have a formidable and respectable character and prowess that if you kick Batman or Superman in the balls, they would drop on their knees, eyes crossed, whimpering like wet puppies.
