Is your "Activity for You" notification not working, at least not consistently?
Mine doesn’t seem to be. I am not getting notifications on all of the questions I am following when new answers are posted. Some yes, others, no.

Mine is working fine. How long this been going on for?
@Symbeline I’ve just noticed it in the last 24 hours or so maybe. I’m hoping Auggie might weigh in here and say something reassuring like “Yes, for some people the Activity for You notifications don’t seem to be working” so I know that I’m not just losing what is left of my mind.
It isn’t something uncommon, I believe it happened before. And yeah, for some people, while it worked fine for others. (that, and other similar problems like lurve not adding up and stuff)
I asked for how long you experienced this for, because if it wasn’t for that long, I probably wouldn’t notice it for a while, especially if you say it’s on and off. (if it was happening to me) But I denno, we’ll really have to wait for Auggie to confirm anything. :/
There are digital spiders crawling all over my Fluther screen though. That’s normal, right? XD
@Symbeline Thanks. As to your other issue, I believe digital ants are generally the norm; and maybe, occasionally, ferrets or snake fish, but digital spiders crawling all over your screen? That would be unusual, I think. Are you sure they’re spiders?
Upon closer inspection, they appear to be loafers.
Man, either there’s something wrong with my machine, or I been smoking some funny stuff. XD
@Symbeline Loafers are definitely not normal! There is most certainly either something wrong with your machine or something wrong with you, probably the latter. Please contact a computer professional or go to your nearest emergency room.
You know that you get questions in your Activity for You inbox – and they are only there temporarily – until x amount of replies – then they disappear, that is, change.
@zensky But they are usually at least there, and for me, now, it doesn’t seem like they are. It’s not as though I am entirely new to Fluther and my Activity for You notifications don’t seem to be acting the way they normally do, hence the question.
Dear – you aren’t listening to me; you have answered all the questions – there are no new ones. And even if there were – you have no topics. None. So why would there be any activity? Go to sleep.
I know that someone else experienced this problem recently… there’s a meta Q about it around here somewhere. I’m not sure why it would be happening, though. I’m sorry! Don’t tase me, bro.
Or – what I wrote, correct? If she has zero topics, and there aren’t many questions being asked anyway – and she has actively been answering everything in sight- she’d be getting them in her inbox, the ones she’s following – but may not be geting any new ones.
@zensky I don’t think she’s asking about new questions, though. Just new activity on Qs she’s already following.
I’m not getting any “new questions for you” right now. But maybe that is just a coincidence.
I’m not sure if I’m not getting any “Activity for you”, it has been very sporadic, but that could be because it’s a slow day here.
I’ve noticed there’s a delayed action from the time an answer is posted to a Q you’re following to the time your Activity link is active. There’s a new answer but your activity link hasn’t “noticed” yet. Fluther has always been this way. Probably because of a delay in the communications between the database server and the web server…
@augustlan and @zensky. LOL. Thank you for working this out between yourselves while I was asleep. And yes, I was, absolutely, mosty certainly talking out the Activity for You notifications as shown in the linked image. There’s “Questions for You”, under that “Messages for You” and under that “Activity for You.” That’s why, in the question, I specifically mentioned the “Activity for You” notifications in the main question and capitalized it and put it in quotes and everything. :-)
Anyway, everything seems to fine tonight. It seems to be working now but it is nice to know that someone else may have had the same problem.
