Do you have an attachment to a childhood or young adult theme song?

Asked by syz (36034points) December 4th, 2011

For me, it’s the Muppet Show. For one of my co-workers, it’s Fraggle Rock. Are there other songs out there with the same strength of affectionate regard? Are they all related to puppets? What makes them so successful?

I think one of the easiest ways to get me nostalgic and excited is to play the Rainbow Brite theme song, or the opening song from The Last Unicorn.

I am in agreement with the Muppet show, specifically, the Rainbow Connection.

Whenever I hear it, I think it might be the only perfect song.

The original Pokemon theme song will always be a source of nostalgia for me.

The opening to Kids In The Hall would rock if it wasn’t so short.

It probably doesn’t count, but I love the tune to Happy Tree Friends.
I also like the theme to Rocky and Bullwinkle

Hey Sandy by Polaris.

Part of it was used as the opening theme for The Adventures of Pete and Pete which is my all time favorite tv show. The band was featured in a lot of episodes, actually. (A lot of good bands were).
