Silly question #44 - If every human being is limited to saying a single phrase in his or her lifetime, what would yours be?
I know. It’s crazy. In this fictional world, if you wish to say the words, I LOVE YOU to your significant other for example, you have to travel with him or her to Singapore; where the only human being who could say I LOVE YOU lives.
You would have to ask this Singaporean a favor to say I LOVE YOU to your sweetheart or he could charge you a fee. And you probably would have to wait hours for your turn for there is a mile long line of people ahead of you. After all, the words I LOVE YOU is extremely popular, therefore much in demand.
Now, for you to hear the words, I LOVE YOU TOO, you have to fly to Kenya. A corn farmer there is the only human being who could say those words.
Yup. If you want to say something like I LOVE YOU or PLEASE SIGN THIS or WHAT’s UP all by yourself, well, you can’t. For the only words that could ever come out of your mouth for as long as you live could be…MY SOCK FEELS SOGGY?
Ok, just to make things a little easier for this fictional dysfunctional world, let’s say you can write what you want to say. But you can never say anything except that single phrase unique to you over and over again. I know, it’s chaotic and complicated.
So what would yours be?
