Is it safer to have a keyless entry or combination pad to your house instead of a key?

I don’t really know, honestly, but I prefer a good, old fashioned keyed deadbolt. That seems the safest to me, even if maybe it really isn’t, I don’t know. Hopefully someone does.
Would it work without electricity? Because if it doesn’t and your electric goes out, you can’t get in.
I’ve only seen people on TV who have those. And they’re always the emphasized super rich billionaires. That only goes to say that TV has influenced my decision about keyless entry… Otherwise, I’ve never really thought about it either.
We use a keyless entry pad entry to our garage, but the house doors all have the old fashion deadbolt/key locks.
I know a couple people with keyless entry, I like the idea. I don’t think it is more safe or less safe, except that no one can steal your key which is good.
IMO, a high security mechanical lock is best, such as by Medeco or Mul-T-Lock (or if you’re super paranoid, both on separate deadbolts).
But a good lock is only part of the equation. If you can, get a steel door with a steel frame, with at least 4 hinges securely attached to both. If your door and/or frame is wood, use at least 3” screws in all the hinges. Take this from a New Yorker :-p
