How do you respond to a guy that honks and yells "Hi, you're hot!"?

I would ignore him. It is jerk behavior.

I prefer ignoring that kind of behaviour. I don’t like it and I don’t find it attractive, so I don’t want to encourage it.

Usually ignore. Makes no difference at all what he looks like. Freaks come in all shapes, sizes, and varities.

I’d simply yell back “Thanks!! I know I am!!” and smile.

It depends on my mood. I have ignored it, shouted things back, given the finger – I would say the most frequent response is the finger.

I dunno. I’d play along for shits and giggles. I mean, c’mon, who doesn’t love a good drive-by compliment?

I don’t really like it when people honk at me, and I don’t like it when people yell at me.. I usually try to ignore it.. and I have a hard time understanding what they’re yelling to me, until after.

If that’s the quality of man you’re looking for, yell something back that will make him stop his truck and talk to you. If not, just turn away.

A smile I suppose. But the yelling and the honking, I don’t know.

I’d just say thank you and continue with my day. I wouldn’t engage in conversation but I wouldn’t assume he was a “jerk” just a lad trying his luck!

Smile then look away. Most people shouting that stuff from cars are just making noise and don’t mean much by it. One of my stepsons has done this while riding in our car but if we had actually stopped the car and asked him if he wanted to approach the girl, he’d have likely gone mute and despondent.~

I hate that drive by shit. I usually ignore em. In my goth days, I often got rude comments, to where I’d give em the finger. Can’t really do that to a guy who says I’m hot though. Even if it is rude, life could be worse lol.

Right? I guess it depends a lot on the details of the situation. Guy driving buy honking over and over and yelling – rude. Guy you cross paths with on a sidewalk and then again in the parking lot who honks and yells once – strangely flattering. I guess age also makes a difference. 50 year old – somehow not acceptable and a little creepy. 20 year old – oddly cute. And looks – ugly – awkward and creepy. Gorgeous – a little tempting. I have to admit. This gorgeous surfer guy with a six pack and beautiful face who was probably a couple years younger than me did this to me and I regret not being a little more friendly just a tiny bit.

“Hi, I’m a lesbian.” Followed by immediately rolling the window up.

I say, “Wow- are you a traveling thermometer? I guess that elementary school degree in physics has really paid off for you.”

I once had a couple of guys who tried to play that tired old silly joke on me. They were random strangers who drove up behind me when I was walking down the side walk. From behind I heard, “Hi Dream Boat!” Then they came just ahead of me and yelled, “Not talking to YOU shipwreck!” I just cocked my head curiously…then they took a good look and really saw me and slammed on their brakes and yelled, “No! Wait!! We didn’t mean that!! Wait!!”
“Too late!” I said with my prettiest smile!

Really. Everyone. A guy may be hot, but he’s a cad and crude if he yells stuff like that. Who cares about looks if he’s a jerk?

I giggle and smile.

Being a bitch back to them or being rude in any way will only make the situation worse. If you don’t want the attention, it’s best to ignore this type of behavior or just smile and move on.

@prioritymail It may be that the ones who look good to us at first only appear attractive to us until they open their mouths. This is, of course, assuming we notice them before they shout their ”approval”. :)

Any girl that would fall for that I guess would deserve the jerk.
