@Harold Based on the cheesy intro, I really have to watch that!

I really liked Laugh In. Funny bits!

@digitalimpression – We like to laugh at ourselves here. It is a real send up of bigoted Australian men.

@Harold I’ve noticed based on my very limited travels through Australia that you’re absolutely right. Sometimes I catch myself wishing my country was a bit more like yours.

@digitalimpression – We have our bad points too, but yes, I wouldn’t live anywhere else.

Mary Tyler Moore. I used to watch it on Nick at Nite and bought the DVDs when they came out. It’s still hilarious and better written than most new shows.

If you’re going to limit me to just one, to just one favorite, I would have to say M.A.S.H. because it was just such a good show. It had a little bit of everything, It could be hilarious, deeply moving sometimes, and have cutting edge, biting satire and commentary sometimes.

M.A.S.H.
The Mary Tyler Moore Show
Lou Grant

and, a bit later,
Star Trek: The Next Generation

If shows like these were still around, I might not have given up watching TV more than ten years ago.

My favorite show of the eighties was Quantum Leap. I can still hear the theme song and Sam saying “Oh, boy.”

digitalimpression's avatar

@Blueroses I’ve always sort of hoped that they would remake quantum leap without changing it too much. Great show.
