It was a blue gelcap and I’m dizzy but have loads of driving and shopping to do. How can I get rid of this dizziness?

Time will be the only help I’m afraid. You might try going back to sleep for a couple of hours.
I just googled and it seems the half life is about 10 hours. I’m thinking it might take a good 15 hours for it to be out of your system enough to not feel medicated if you were very symptomatic, but that is pure guess, and would vary by individual. Not sure how long it has actually been since you took it. I think you will just have to wait a little while until your dizziness clears up. Is your blood pressure low? Do you have a cuff at home to check it?
Eating might also help. It will get your liver working.
If it does not let up in 24 hours I would consider going to the doctor, but be warned doctors will be clueless about unlikely side effects that might be lasting. But, they can rule out other problems on the off chance it is not the Unisom and just coincidence it is happening the same time you took the pill. I think most likely it is the Unisom though.
Don’t risk driving or running errands while you are feeling dizzy. If you have bonine or dramamine they might help with the dizziness but will also make you drowsy.
You should not do anything today. Take a sick day regardless of what you have to do. Think of all the kids on the road today with their families and all the people walking around.
Either go back to sleep or eat something to get your body processing.
For now, do nothing. At all. No driving or shopping. Try to go back to sleep and give it more time.
Try getting some more rest, eat some food and drink water and tea.
Did you take any other meds at about the same time? Alcohol?
@HungryGuy no; no alcohol. It took 4 hrs to not be dizzy anymore!
Thank you all.
