Men, how did it feel when you got down on your knee and popped the question? (Women, what was your reaction?)

Didn’t happen that way here. We were parked in her driveway at about 1 am.

Best feeling in the world when the woman you love says “I Do”.

Ha, fatal misread. I read this as; men, how did it feel when you popped your knee out?
So to answer my misread, it hurt like hell.
To answer your question:
I was proposed to in a strip club by my ex wife. Needless to say, I was drunk…Things did not work out. I am planning something super cool for my girlfriend now. I want to propose in a hot air ballon, over the ocean, then free jump to safety and get married on the beach. Then party in the woods for a weekend celebration.

There was no knee bending involved.

Instead, I arrived at her house early (before she left for work) and placed a package on the roof of her car). It was filled with a card, poem, music tape, and (finally), the ring.

I waited patiently around the corner.

In a few minutes, she came flying down the stairs, saw the box, tossed it up the stairs to her mother (unopened), and drove off to work in a hurry.

Did not go as planned.

Ours was very romantic~

I (<—-—female) said something along the line of “let’s get married April 4th!”. Yes, that’s how I proposed. We had talked about getting married some day, but I made it official. teehee

That was almost 20 years ago and we are happier than ever. =)

As the resipient of several marriage proposals, the one that would have ment the most, never came. It is all about feelings. Not so much about dramatic gestures.

I’m female. It’s was a surprise but it was fantastic and well done. My guy proposed on during a New Year’s Eve dinner out with his parents and my mom. Everyone knew he was going to propose that night except me. His mother had made home made fortune cookies with custom fortunes inside and we went round the table reading ours off… mine said I’d be very happy if I agreed to marry my bf and when I looked over to show him the fortune, he was beside the table on bended knee with a ring in his hand.

My reaction was “What the hell? Are you freaking serious? Where did this come from?”
