With all these questions and answers, will Flutherpedia be ever better than wikipedia?
Looking back at the questions and answers here on Fluther, I would think it would be just as enjoyable to get your answers from Flutherpedia as wikipedia. Some of the answers make you wonder where people are coming from.

Some of the answers do, indeed, make me wonder where people are coming from. A recent expert on supernovae turned out to be 10-yr old girl, who transmitted the info via her older sister.
It’s already far more entertaining….but wikipedia flags articles in need of ‘cleaning up’. That kind of housekeeping on fluther would require considerably more mods, I think (or they’ll just have to work 24/7)
Well most answers come from Wikipedia, and people who don’t search the question first usually lead the people who are answering to Wikipedia for an answer. I think most answers cannot be without Wikipedia. But I too enjoy the interesting conversations that come about from the questions ask.
No. Fluther’s information is like a tiny dot compared to the bulk of information that is on Wikipedia.
On a personal note, I would trust an answer found on Fluther more than Wikipedia because I have some knowledge of who is answering. You don’t get that on Wikipedia. I also prefer being able to discuss the answers. But as mirza says, we are only a drop in the bucket compared to them.
@wildflower: We already work 23/7, what more do you all want? (breaks down crying)
well then, one more hour isn’t gonna kill ya, is it? (hands richardhenry a quadruple espresso)
(Richard proceeds onward in a caffeine fueled jittery high proactively removing every single question and quip for the next two hundred and eleven hours)
Aww….such a dedicated young man that Richard!

Post-it to RichardHenry; reminder to get teeth bleached when you are unshackled given a little holiday.

@mirza: Says the person who took the time to make a near perfect 180 degree rotation of the phrase “Fluther moderators need to start having a life” by using alternative symbols. :)
@richardhenry: i just used flip – takes less then a second
@mirza , That’s pretty cool!
That is actually pretty cool. But it must be particularly popular with MySpace users, because combined with making the type really small, it would be almost completely unreadable. (Yay!)
@scamp – I already find Wikipedia to be pretty personal, or at least some feeling that it has been created with love ;-)
(And you might also want to check out the History tabs on Wikipedia)
@Vincentt that may be true, but I don’t know anyone there. But thanks for the tip.
