When was there a time when you said something like, "I have NEVER seen anything like it!"?

Crazy. We took the grandkids out to our land. It’s been REALLY cold and we wanted to see if the pond had frozen over (it was a little frozen around the edges.)

Due to the drought the pond has been really small, but we got a good rain and now the pond is HUGE! Flood huge!

We had been out there for about 45 minutes messing around when Rick came rushing by with some large plastic cup and said, “Hey! Who wants to rescue some fish?”
I thought “WTH?”
So we made our way over to the other side of the pond and into the woods and Rick showed us where there there were hundreds of live little fish in the grass! We’d flip over a pile of wet leaves that were in a little low spot and there would be 7 or 8 baby fish freaking out. We were literally picking catfish, bass and perch up out of the field and the woods and taking them to the pond!

Rick showed me what had happened…the water had flooded outside of one corner of the pond and was drained into a rivulet we’d noticed before (when it was dry) and sucked the little fishes out with it. When the pond and the rivulet receded it left all those fishes stranded in the field, but still alive.

The damp combined with the freezing temps allowed the little guys to survive at least 3 days on land till we discovered them. We restocked our pond!

They ranged from about 4 inches to 8 or 9. It was the damnedest thing I’ve ever seen!

I have never and probably never will again, believe the good performance I had with my 2000 Toyota Solara. I have owned many automobiles, but nothing like this Solara.

300.000 miles and only changed the timing belt, oil and installed 5 sets of new tires.

Its still rolling and I gave it to my daughter.

“I have never seen anything like it”.

Way to go Toyota.

A rainbow in the middle of the night. It was so strange that I didn’t dare to believe it.

@Dutchess_III I’m imagining fish frying on an open fire in June. How great.

I was on a ship leaving Greece for Italy. I watched a beautiful sunset. Minutes later, the sun was in the sky again and I watched the sun set all over again. Ah, the wonderful Greek hills.

Yes. As kid my parents’ car club would have group meets at some cool spot or another, one of which was a trip to some giant rock formations in the desert that had big smooth craters scooped out of them. We went up after rain during the week and some of the rock craters had rainwater in them us kids hiked up and into. I’ve still not seen anything like that and wish I knew where it was to re visit. Somewhere southwest of Southern California is a dream playground.

One of the cats I rescued, Gypsy who lives with us now was fascinated by our TV. And, he would run to watch me turn it on. One day I came in the livingroom as he was pressing different buttons, and he did it! He turned on the TV and sat down on the carpet to watch.
After awhile it was too much. He’d turn it on in the middle of the night, when we were out. We did all sorts of things to block the buttons and he finally stopped. Now he’s more fascinated with batting a ball I throw up in the air while he’s on my bed. What a cat!!

Wow…that IS amazing! Yay for the fishies….poor things, what a terrible way to go for a fish!

Hmmm…..too early for me over here, I can;t think of anything outstanding in the moment, maybe something will come to me.

One really amazing moment was 2 Decembers ago when we had a crazy 2 foot snowstorm overnight. I was outside at dawn and it was so silent in the woods, except for the constant snapping and cracking of tree limbs giving way under the heavy, wet , snow.

I have never heard anything like it, every 20 seconds you would hear limbs snapping and falling all over the woods. It was a memorable morning.

Should I give this answer or should I not?

I am afraid I might offend someone. If I do, in advance, I apologize. Its worth reading and really happened.

Received a police call to check on a man down and screaming in a local park.

Paramedics and I arrived at about the same time. This man was on the ground on all four and screaming bloody murder.

Unable to explain his pain, paramedics loaded him on a gurney and transported him to a local ER. X-rays were taken of his body. ER doctors came to me and explained the cause of this mans pain.

He had a plastic Coca-Cola bottle up inside his rectum !

“I have never seen anything like that before”!!!!
