Lol…...Maybe they play in salt/corn fields when you’re at work?
Why are you smelling dog feet?
My feet do not have a fritos aroma- though I may buy some now that you mention it.
Yucky but you’re not alone in thinking that. My husband thinks the dogs’ feet smell like tacos and is always pestering others to smell them and confirm this. To me, their feet smell like dirty hair and the smell of fingernail filings. Ick.
Where you getting your fritos?
If you do a Google search for the topic, they charge everything from yeast, to dead skin, to the keratin in the nails, and that’s just the first few options….
@Dog Anybody who loves dogs eventually smells their (the dog’s) feet.
@saint Dog lover, never a foot smeller. But I grew up on a farm, sothat might make a difference.
@Adirondackwannabe: I had my doggie near ten years before I ventured to smell his feet. Bizzare!
Now I know what I’m gonna be thinking of the whole time the next time I munch on Fritos…
@Neizvestnaya If you ever have a cow slap you in the face with a shitty tail it kind of ruins your curiousity about animal smells.
@saint that doesn’t seem fair to say. I love my dogs very much, but I have never smelled their feet. :\
@Adirondackwannabe: I’m familiar with farm animals and made it a point to stay away from the hind parts of a cow. EEEWWWW.
Not only have I smelled their feet, I smell their little armpits to see if they stink. The feet have no smell and neither did their armpits.
My dog doesn’t smell, but she gets regular baths in the summer and showers in the winter.
My dog’s fluffy dong is so big he pees on his paws.
I call them pee toes and have been investigating this issue about 6 months.
@jazmina88 In what manner do you go about investigating your dogs pee paws?
I’ve noticed this too! I smell her feet when she sits beside me, not because I try to sniff them.
There was a girl in my high school class who had feet that smelled like Doritos. You could smell them all the way across the locker room.
Yes! They do! Fritos, popcorn or nacho-feet. My little dog has this distinct odor and it’s endearing. My big dog has a less intense fragrance but his ears do smell like beer sometimes.
@chyna I do this with companions, my friend, neighbor….
we stick our noses up to the paws and whiff it in….VERY scientific stuff
Dont I get extra lurve for my pup having the fluffiest weiner??
Why do you feel the need to smell a dog’s foot in the first place?
Sometimes you don’t have to be all that close to sniff the air ::: chips?
My dogs paws smell like Cheetos, not Fritos.
She loves Cheetos and receives them as a reward.
I have always thought popcorn. And you know when they are not well, the odor changes. I like the way they smell and she always seems to be sticking them in my face on the bed or sofa or floor!
I was eating sour kraut until I started reading this thread.
My basset hound’s paws had the nicest smell. The pads were big and warm. I would lay on the floor next to her while she napped (which was often) and laid her paw on my forehead. It was soothing.
What? What!?
@Dog: Hah! Nice call back.
I love this question, and the answers are the best laugh I have had all day.
As I recall my dogs feet did smell a bit Fritoish.
edit: I had a typo there that said my dongs feet. Oh boy I need to go to bed.
